Strange similarities between today's environment and the period leading up to the Great Depression. If it will hold, only the future can tell.
As an econometrics / mathematician, I often smile at these charts. I am not saying they are not true; I am also not saying they have predictive qualities. People are so creative to find ways to predict the future based on patterns in the past, even though the fundamentals can be completely different. And where to better exercise that creativity than in one of the biggest casinos in the world…the stock market?
The takeaway here is that graphs can be very helpful. But be careful drawing conclusions and making decisions (solely) based on them.
